OBJECTIVE STATEMENT

 

I am a former U.S. Marine veteran with over five years of logistics/ warehouse experience. I also have experience as a diesel mechanic, telecom\ radio frequency and repairing/troubleshooting computers. I am seeking an opportunity to continue to gain knowledge, and put my skills to use. I am currently attending a technical school for NDT, so I am seeking hours after 1pm Monday through Friday and open on weekends to work.

I oversee an area known as the “slap yard” where metal slaps arrive (weighing 10-40 tons) in the department via rail, trolley cars, crane or forklift. On any given day, up to a hundred metal slaps move throughout the yard as some pieces go to get torch cut, grinded, sonic tested or inspected for quality. I also oversee two crane-men who are the movers of the yard. I inventory, distribute and ship out materials for further processing. There are various types of high tech alloys we handle such as such titanium and nickel, stainless steels, grain-oriented electrical steels. These slaps come in hot and cold.

·  Experience on assembly line for International tractor trailers and family of tactical vehicles (FMTV), military trucks (BAE Systems), to include Hemmt trucks.

·  Installed/ inspected brake lines, air tanks, gas tanks, tires, doors, air hoses, front/back end light fixtures & wiring. Etc.

·  Adjusted and installed equipment to specifications, to include spot welding, cutting, sanding, painting, and polishing for final product.

·  Resolved any issues with trucks not passing post-delivery inspections.

·  Retrogrades pertained to AC installation and front suspension.

·  Responsible for over 120 computer users; ensuring all pertinent hardware/software was installed and ready to use.

·  Responsibilities included repairing, troubling shooting and giving maintenance, to include formatting computers and installing windows operating systems.

·  Setup user accounts and workstations, to include conference equipment for presentations.

·  Supported over 180 reserve sites.

·  Tracked back orders on parts with weekly reports which commanding officer utilized to assess mission capabilities.

·  Redistributed millions of dollars of equipment to deficient units.

·   Responsible for reporting, on a quarterly basis, the accountability of over half a million dollars in equipment.
